Whats my cat doing some kind of mating ritual?
Every night my cat jumps on my bed when im asleep and starts kneeding on my pillow case, sometimes I can sleep thru the kneeding but she wakes me up with a back paw to the face..usually only 1 paw.. its alittle disturbing, whats my cat doing? She is 21/2 yr old female all white long hair cat thats been spayed.
Cats pick up that practice as kittens. They knead their mommy to get the milk flowing. It's also a "comfort" thing. Means they're getting ready to settle down for a snooze. If she's smackin' you in the face as well, means she's ready for some snuggling while she's settling. It can be annoying, but I always feels privileged when mine knead and paw me.
